COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT:
The Community Development Department facilitates a variety of programs that promote the responsible development of the city and a safe, livable environment for all of its citizens. Organized into four primary functions, the Department's primary roles include Planning and Zoning, Land Development and Building Plan Review, Permitting and Licensing, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement and the Community Redevelopment Agency.

In addition to numerous agencies, organizations and the general public, the Department partners with several citizen advisory boards to implement its various programs. The Department provides organizational and technical support to the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustments, Code Enforcement Magistrate, Building Technical Review Board, and several Neighborhood Citizen Advisory Committees and Task Forces.

PLANNING DIVISION:

BUILDING DIVISION:
The Building Division is responsible for:

• Permits, Licenses & Contractor Registration
• Plan Review
• Construction & License Inspections
• Public Safety & Awareness Programs
• Occupational Licenses

CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION:
The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for:

• Enforcing the standards of the City of Haines City's Land Development Codes

COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
The Community Redevelopment Agency is responsible for:

Facilitation of redevelopment within the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) through the implementation of the redevelopment plans and programs. CRA projects include:

• Downtown Revitalization
• Neighborhood Improvements
• Economic Development
